SILENT BLOCK EXTRACTOR SAF Ø158mm

If the silent blocks are not installed correctly, the stability of the vehicle will be reduced and this
could result in death or serious injury.
Make sure that the installation position is correct.

Lubricate the thrust bearing (3), washers and threaded rod (1). Use standard grease.
4.
Insert the threaded rod (1) of the correctly preassembled disassembly tool into the muffl er
until the relay sleeve (5) fi ts into the muffl er housing in the arm (6).
The push plate with nut (9) is placed on the other end until it stops against the muffl er block (fi g.
6).
5.
Place a spanner on the nut of the threaded rod (1). Turn until the thrust plate (9) pulls the
silent-block assembly fully into the receiving sleeve (5).
6.
Install the removal tool.
7.
Continue to push the pivot sleeve until it is forced into the widened section of the tapered
receiving tube (5), from where it can be easily removed.
8.
Reverse the direction of rotation of the spanner for the removal tool.
9.
Remove the damaged silentblock and clean the receiver sleeve with a wire brush to remove
any foreign material.
