•
Place the bolt and washer through the upper mounting plate on the left-hand side
adventure bar (item 1), then place 24mm long spacers (item 2) over the
exposed end of the bolt as shown in picture 7.
•
Offer this assembly into position, engage the bolt into the upper frame mount (do
not fully tighten at this stage).
•
Place one of the washers (item 4) onto the 90mm long cap head bolt (item 8) as
shown in picture 8.
•
Place the bolt and washer through the lower mounting plate on the left-hand side
adventure bar (item 1), then place 47mm long spacers (item 10) over the
exposed end of the bolt as shown in picture 8.
•
Use one of the nuts (item 7) and washers (item 4) to secure in position as
shown in picture 5 (do not fully tighten at this stage).
Off-side (right side as you sit on the motorcycle)
•
Remove the upper frame bolt as shown in picture 9.
•
Remove the nut, washer and bolt as shown in pictures 10 and 11.
•
Place one of the washers (item 4) onto one of the 70mm long hex head bolts
(item 3) as shown in picture 7.
•
Place the bolt and washer through the upper mounting plate on the right-hand
side adventure bar (item 14), then place the remaining 24mm long spacer (item
2) over the exposed end of the bolt as shown in picture 12.
•
Offer this assembly into position, engage the bolt into the upper frame mount (do
not fully tighten at this stage).
•
Place one of the washers (item 4) onto the 95mm long cap head bolt (item 12)
as shown in picture 13.
•
Place the bolt and washer through the lower mounting plate on the right-hand
side adventure bar (item 14), then place 50mm long spacers (item 11) over the
exposed end of the bolt as shown in picture 13.
•
Use one of the nuts (item 7) and washers (item 4) to secure in position as
shown in picture 10 (do not fully tighten at this stage).
•
Place one of the washers (item 4) onto the longest hex head bolt (item 13) as
shown in picture 14.
•
Place one of the 19mm long spacers (item 6) between the frame/engine mount
and the middle mounting plate, then place the bolt and washer through the
middle engine mounting hole.
Near-side (left side as you sit on the motorcycle)
•
Place the remaining 19mm long spacer (item 6) between the frame/engine
mount and the middle mounting plate, then secure using the remaining nut (item
7) and washer (item 4) as shown in picture 15 (do not fully tighten at this
stage).
•
Tighten all the nuts and bolts ensuring no parts of the adventure bars contact any
motorcycle parts.
•
Remove the jack.
•
Fit the nut/bolt covers (items 5 and 9) to the appropriate fastening.
•
Before the motorcycle is ridden please recheck tightness of all nuts and
bolts, and the operation of the motorcycle at full lock in both directions.
