Sensor principle: background evaluation
The background is taught. Objects in front of the
background are detected. This allows for example
reflective objects to be reliably detected against a
background.

Procedure in IO-Link mode:
1. Align sensor with the background
2. Select Teach-In channel:

3. Teach point (TP1 for SP1). Send system command
0x41 to sensor.

If the red LED comes on, TP1 could not be taught
(alignment is unsuitable or the object is outside the
detection range).
4. Verify whether TP1 has been taught successfully:
Read out and check the parameter Teach-In Status
using Index 0x003B.
