STEAM BURST

This function gives an extra amount of steam to remove tough wrinkles.
1. Press the steam burst button when the iron is ready for use. (see 'Steam ironing').
Steam will be released from the steam holes in the soleplate.
2. For tough wrinkles, wait a few seconds (2 to 3) before pressing the steam burst
button again. Most wrinkles can be removed within 3 steam bursts.
VERTICAL STEAM BURST
Caution: Do not use steam on clothes or fabrics when they are being worn by people
or animals. The steam is very hot.
This function gives an extra amount of steam to remove wrinkles in hanging fabrics,
like curtains for example.
1. When the iron is ready for use (see 'Steam ironing'), keep the iron at a distance of
15 to 30 cm of the hanging fabric.
2. Press the steam burst knob.
3. The steam will be absorbed by the fabric, which will make the wrinkles disappear.
4. For tough wrinkles, wait a few seconds (2 to 3) before pressing the steam burst
button again. Most wrinkles can be removed within 3 steam bursts.
Caution:
• Always keep a distance between the iron and the fabric to avoid burning.
• It is not recommended to use vertical steam on synthetic fabrics.
• Since the steam is very hot, never use steam on clothes that are being worn by
people or animals. Always hang the clothes on a hanger.
EMPTYING AND STORAGE
1. Turn the temperature control disc to the MIN position.
2. Unplug.
3. Open the cap of the fill opening.
4. Hold the iron upside-down and gently shake to remove the remaining water from
the water tank.
5. Place the iron upright on its support.
6. Let the iron cool down completely.
7. Fold down the handle while pressing the button for folding the handle.
