h) Turning Cruise Control/Receiver On, Setting Trim
Each time before you use the model, control the zero position of the trim regulator for the
steering and for forward/reverse drive (see chapter 8, position B and C).
Hold the vehicle in a way so that the drive can move freely. Don't touch the wheels or the
rest of the drive, do not obstruct it.
• Put the on/off switch on the vehicle (see chapter 9. f), position "1") into the "ON" position.
• Don't move the lever for forward/reverse drive (K) or the rotating wheel (H), let go of both of them.
Now set the trim regulator for forward/backward drive (C) in a way so that the wheels stand still
and the motor makes no noises.
Afterwards the steerable front wheel are to brought to about centre position with the trim regula-
tor for the steering (B).
A more precise setting of directional stability is carried out later when driving the vehicle.
• Now carefully place the vehicle on the floor.
i) Steering of Vehicle
Only operate the lever for forward/reverse drive very carefully before you are getting
used to the responses of the vehicles to the operation.
Don't make any fast jerky movements with the lever or with the rotating wheel for steer-
ing.
When changing from forward to reverse drive, the lever (K) must be briefly in the centre position (cen-
tre position = vehicle stationary, motor makes no sounds).
Not only does this protect the drive but it also makes braking possible:
Direct change of forward to reverse drive = brake function
Short break when changing from forward to reverse drive = vehicle reversing
Controlling the vehicle is actually really easy:
• The rotating wheel (H) is for steering. Just like with a real car a left turn is for a left bend, a right turn
is for a right bend.
If necessary the settings of the servo-reverse switch (G) are to be corrected.
