12. Disposal

a) General information

At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
The user is legally obliged (battery regulation) to return used batteries and storage batteries. Do not
dispose of used batteries via the household rubbish!

Batteries/storage batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the follow-
ing symbols which point out that the disposal via the household rubbish is prohibited.
The designations for the respective hazardous heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium,
Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (name on battery/rechargeable battery, eg under the rubbish bin
icons on the left).

You can return used batteries/accumulators free of charge to any collecting point in your
local authority, in our stores or in any other store where batteries/accumulators are sold.
Thus, you comply with your legal obligations and make your contribution to environmental protection.
