PREPARATION FOR USE

WINDING – TIME-SETTING
Important: mechanical watches with a date indicator window are equipped
with a complex mechanism that is triggered between 20:00 and 04:00. It is
therefore vital to avoid adjusting the calendar or moving the time backwards
during this period.
The functions are corrected by turning the crown or pressing
the correctors with a blunt point, making sure to follow the
order below:
1. Unscrew the water-resistant crown anti-clockwise. Wind the
watch by approximately 40 clockwise turns of the crown.
2. Pull the crown out to position 2. Turn the hands clockwise,
until the date changes at midnight. Then move the hands
forward to 04:00.

3. Moon phase: Press corrector 1, situated between 2 and
3 o'clock, until the full moon appears in the centre of the
window. Determine the date of the last full moon using the
lunar calendar. Press the corrector again by the number
of days elapsed since the last full moon.
4. Month: Press corrector 2, situated at 8 o'clock, until the date
hand is positioned at 1. Then press corrector 3, situated
between 9 and 10 o'clock, until the desired month is
indicated.
5. Date: Press corrector 2, situated at 8 o'clock, until the
desired date is indicated.
6. Day: Press corrector 4, situated between 4 and 5 o'clock,
until the desired day is indicated.
