PREPARATION FOR USE

WINDING – DATE ADJUSTMENT – TIME-SETTING
NB: mechanical watches endowed with a date indicator window are equipped
with a complex mechanism that is set into motion between 8 pm and 3 am. It
is therefore vital to avoid adjusting the calendar or moving the time backwards
during this period.
1. Unscrew the water-resistant crown anti-clockwise. To wind the
watch, turn the crown (in position 1) clockwise about 40 times.
2. Pull the crown out to position 2. Turn it counter-clockwise to
display the day prior to the correct day.
Then turn it clockwise to display the date prior to the correct
date.
3. Pull the crown out to position 3 and turn the hands forward until
the current date "jumps" into place, at midnight. Then set the
correct time.
4. Push the crown back to position 1. Press it gently, turning it gently
clockwise, then tighten it again until you feel some resistance.
Do not force!

SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS

BIDIRECTIONAL BEZEL
The bezel of your watch is marked with a reference to
mark the time of departure or a limit time one wishes
to remember. On models with no chronograph functions,
it also serves as "minute chronograph" enabling one to
measure time elapsed in minutes.
