Attention: Particularly with the Spirit of Metal, higher
Sagging settings may lead to a muddy tone. For
modern metal riffing, stable, uncompressed power
amp behavior is needed – dial back Sagging to achieve
this. For fat and creamy lead tones, don't hesitate to
dial Sagging up even to the far right position.

Master: As the name suggests, this knob puts
the power amp and its volume level at your thumb
and forefinger's command. Master also controls the
volume of the phones output.

Phones: This frequency-compensated output
(Emulation of the Hughes & Kettner Red Box)
designed to connect standard headphones with 6.3
mm (1/4") jack output. The Aux In signal is fed in
full stereo quality to the headphones out. This lets
enjoy your playing and your jam tracks without any
additional mixers.
Note: Plugging a cord into the front panel Phones
output switches the Speaker Out off.
You can use this output for recording, but you can also
use the Line Out, which offers – in combination with
software-based speaker and microphone emulations –
endless tone-shaping options.
Note: you can also use this output to feed a line signal
to any stereo multimedia input, such as a hi-fi system.
Please ask your dealer for the relevant adapters or
cables. To connect this output to a typical Aux In on
a hi-fi system, you will need a cable with a TRS jack
(stereo) at one end to connect it to the phones output
of your Spirit amp, and two RCA connectors on the
other end to connect it to the left and right inputs of
your hi-fi system. You can also connect this output
to any mixing desk using a cable with TRS to 2 x TS
(mono) 6.3 mm (1/4") jack or 2 x XLR. Just make sure
the inputs of your desk are panned hard left/right to
benefit from the stereo effect.

Speaker: designed to drive speaker cabinets with
impedances from 4 to 16 ohms, this speaker out lets
you connect any kind of guitar speaker cabinet, from
small enclosures up to a full 4x12 stack. Yes, your Spirit
Nano Head can drive even the biggest of speakers!
Basic info on connecting speakers
Caution: If you wish to connect two speaker cabinets,
always make sure they are of the same type. NEVER
mix the two by connecting one of each type! If
is
you want to connect two cabinets, make sure the
impedance of each cabinet is 8 ohms minimum, as the
overall impedance is halved in a parallel circuit.
The Hughes & Kettner TS 112 Pro, TM 112 and TM
212 speakers come highly recommended. Each has an
impedance of 16 ohms and a parallel output that lets
you connect a second speaker of the same type.
