Grilling

The heating element (7) of the grill may
produce a temperature of approx. 850°C.
This extreme heat causes the fibres on
the surface of the meat to contract imme-
diately, thus forming a crispy crust in next-
to-no-time. By contrast, the inside of the
piece of meat remains almost pristine and
juicy. The top heat means that the meat
juice which drips down does not burn and
can be used as stock for sauces.
Although the grill was developed for pre-
paring steaks, it is also extremely suitable
for grilling tuna, salmon, seafood and
vegetables or for caramelising desserts
such as crème brûlée or candied fruit.
Just give it a try! There are no limits to
your imagination.
Before you prepare the meat, it
should be at room temperature in
order to ensure good and even
cooking.
The cooking time depends on the
thickness, quality, maturity and
temperature of the meat at the
start of the grilling process. Until
you are properly familiar with the
device, the condition of the meat
should be checked in between
times.
PLEASE NOTE!
CAUTION – Danger of Burns!
The accessory gets extremely hot in
the device. Use kitchen gloves! It is
essential that you use the handle to
remove the grill rack!
Only ever place down the hot acces-
sory on a heat-resistant surface.
Do not place food that is wrapped in
cling film or in plastic bags in the grill.
1. Fill the drip tray (2) with a little water if
necessary and put it onto the bottom
of the grill chamber (12). Do not insert
the grill rack (3)!
