INSTALLING OR REMOVING WHEEL GUARD
WARNING! When using a depressed center grinding wheel/Multi-disc, flex wheel, wire wheel brush
or cut-off wheel, the wheel guard must be fitted on the tool so that the closed side of the guard always
points toward the operator.
1.
Loosen the clamping screw.
2.
Place the guard with the coded projection into the coded groove on the spindle collar of the
machine head and rotate it to the required working position.
3.
Tighten the clamping screw.
4.
Mount the wheel guard with the protrusion on the guard hand aligned with the notch on the
bearing box.
a.
Rotate the wheel guard 180°.
b.
Tighten the screw securely.
5.
To remove the wheel guard, follow the installation procedure in reverse.

INSTALLATION OF ACCESSORIES

1.
Place the backing washer over the spindle. Ensure that the fit is tight.
2.
Place the accessory on the top of the backing washer ensuring the bore fits into the step
of the flange.
3.
Mount the concave recess side of the locking nut over the spindle.
4.
Press the spindle lock and ensure there is no movement in the spindle. Then while the spindle
lock is depressed tighten the locking nut in a clockwise direction using the included wrench.
5.
Allow the angle grinder to run idle for at least a minute with the accessory correctly assembled.
WARNING! A vibrating accessory should immediately be re-installed and tested. If the accessory
continues to vibrate, replace with a new one.
a.
Only use accessories from well-known manufacturers before the expiry date that is
indicated on the package.
NOTE: An accessory's properties are greatly influenced by the conditions of storage.
b.
Mount the wheel guard on the inner flange and put the outer flange onto it.
c.
Screw the accessory in securely by pressing the shaft lock to stop the wheel and use the
included wrench to tighten.
WARNING! Put the protruding part of the outer flange close to disc if you are mounting a grinding disc,
put the protruding part of the outer flange outside if you are mounting a cut-off disc.
NOTE: Flex wheels will require a plastic pad and abrasive wheels will require a rubber pad (both sold
separately) mounted on the spindle.
