GRINDING TOOL SPECIFIC WARNING
1.
Only use grinding wheels that are approved for a speed of 11,000 RPM or greater
(see Specifications).
2.
Only use grinding wheels with the correct arbor size for the spindle of the cut off wheel
(see Specifications).
3.
Ensure the grinding wheel has a clean cutting edge. Check the grinding wheel for wear or
chipping and replace if necessary.
4.
Never install more than one disc at a time.
5.
Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the cutting tool
may contact hidden wiring or its own power supply cord. Contact with a live wire will electrify
exposed metal parts of the tool and shock the operator.
6.
Before using the tool on the workpiece, run the tool at the highest speed, without a load, for at
least 30 seconds in a safe position. Stop immediately if there is any vibration or wobbling that
could indicate poor installation or a poorly balanced cut off wheel. Check the tool to determine
the cause.
7.
Do not allow the motor to overload or overheat. Take breaks to rest the tool.
8.
When the machine is in operation, keep hands away from the cutting area.
9.
Do not subject the cut off wheel to any lateral pressure as it may damage the tool or cause
it to kickback.
10. Do not use the tool on any materials containing asbestos.
11. Do not place the tool down after use until the cut off wheel has come to a complete stop. The
cut off wheel will not stop immediately when the machine is turned off.
12. Do not touch the cut off wheel or the workpiece surface cut with this tool. They may be hot and
could inflict a burn injury.
