INSPECTION
1.
The stator (motor) is the heart of the power tool. Exercise care to ensure it does not become
damaged by oil or water. Do not use the tool until you have discovered and corrected the
problem if you hear the stator making unusual noises or if you notice smoke or sparks coming
out of the stator.
2.
Inspect the carbon brushes regularly and replace them when 2/3 of each brush is worn down.
3.
Inspect all mountings and screws regularly and ensure that they are properly tightened.
4.
Inspect the grinding wheel and ensure that it is free of cracks and surface defects. Replace the
grinding wheel immediately when it becomes worn down.
