7. Replacement of the storage battery
A CR2032 storage battery is located in the control unit. This storage battery enables the control unit to save cer-
tain data - e.g. time, date, heating times etc. even during a power failure, or when the mains power supply is
disconnected.
If the battery is flat, the control unit will continue to function normally. However, in the event of a power failure,
the above-mentioned data will be lost. These data must then be saved afresh.
Replace the battery every 2 years as follows:
1.
The battery is located on the central control unit. To replace it, first remove the side panel on the right of
the stove. Then detach the control unit cover.
2.
Remove the old battery from the retainer using a pair of insulated pliers or a similar tool.
3.
Insert the new battery, observing the correct polarity.
8. Warranty
Our warranty covers the body of your AUSTROFLAMM pellet stove for 6 years, and all other steel and cast iron
components and electrical and electronic components for 2 years from the date of first sale.
Steel and cast iron parts, and electrical and electronic components that exhibit material and/or processing defects
during the warranty period will be replaced with new parts.
Functional problems of electronic accessories (e.g. WLAN module, Smart Spot etc.) only entitle the customer to
claim under warranty for the respective accessories.
When warming up, during operation and when cooling down, your stove may make some noise (soft crackling,
slight clicking etc.). This is due to the different degrees of expansion of the various materials under the influence
of temperature in your stove. Such noises do not qualify as grounds for warranty claims.
We do not grant any warranty for wearing parts (e.g. Keramott, seals, floor grate or combustion chamber, ignition
cartridge, temperature sensor and bearings), surface coatings, paintwork, glass and ceramics.
Prerequisites for our warranty service are:
1. Your AUSTROFLAMM pellet stove has been operated and serviced as instructed in the user manual, and
has been installed and commissioned by a service technician (the commissioning report must be received by
Austroflamm no later than one month after commissioning).
2. It can be verified that your Austroflamm pellet stove has been serviced annually.
3. The warranty claim is submitted along with the invoice and serial number to an AUSTROFLAMM retailer.
4.
IMPORTANT: Our warranty service includes the free delivery of new parts. Labour and travel times are not in-
cluded. Any unjustified warranty claim will be charged back to the operator.
