FAULTS, CAUSES AND REMEDIES
FAULTS
• The heater fails to start
•The heater fails to start or stops
and the warning light (8) comes on
with a flashing orange light.
• The heater fails to start or stops
and the warning light (8) comes on
with steady red light
• The heater stops and then starts
again but the warning light (8) does
not come on
• Fan noise or vibrations
If the cause of the malfunction has not been found with the above checks and remedies, please contact your nearest dealer or authorised
service centre.
CAUSES
• No power supply
• Main switch in wrong position
• Faulty operation of room thermostat
• Air pressure switch tripped due to fan malfunction
• Air pressure switch tripped due to pressure
switch malfunction
• Power supply too low (V < 195 V)
• Electrical power cable is connected with polarities
L and N reversed
• The ionisation electrode does not detect a flame
• Safety thermostat tripped due to the combustion
chamber overheating
• Control unit tripped due to irregular burner
operation
• Faulty electronic control unit
• Faulty thermostat
• Burner thermostat tripped
• Gas pressure switch tripped due to sudden drop
in gas supply pressure
• Foreign bodies on fan blades
• Little air circulation

• Check power specifications
• Check power connections
• Check fuse
• Select correct position
• Check thermostat position
• Check thermostat operation
- Check that the suction and the flow grills are
unobstructed
- Check that the fan is running freely
- Check the electric motor and the condenser and,
if faulty, replace them
• Replace the pressure switch
• The heater will restart automatically when the
power supply returns to normal (V>195V)
• If the heater starts and stops several times check
the electrical power supply
• If the heater will not start and remains off, check
the electrical power supply
• Reverse polarities L and N
• Remove the flame sensor and clean it
• Check that the suction and the flow grills are
unobstructed
• Check that the room is well ventilated
• Check that the hot air can escape freely
• Check that the gas flow or pressure are not
excessive
• Contact Service Assistance
• Check the unit and if necessary replace it
• Check the thermostat and if necessary replace it
• Air distribution ducts too long or with insufficient
diameter
• Check the gas supply pressure
• Remove foreign bodies
• Eliminate all possible obstacles to proper air flow
