IMPORTANT NOTE
For optimal performance, adjust the dip switches according to the place of installation of the detector. If the dip
switch settings do not corresponds to the installation environment, the performance of the detector will be
compromised, false alarms may be detected or motion may not be detected.
The detector senses differences between moving objects and background. If an object is stationary (i.e. it does
not moves), the detector will not be activated.
The detector has a directional feature and is particularly effective in detecting intruders crossing the detection field.
It is less sensitive in detecting movements directed towards the detector.
For optimal performance, remember to adjust the mounting height of the detector according to the height of the
tallest pet. For taller dogs, install the detector higher for their safety.
The detector is installed at a height of 2.3 m will have a blind spot of about 1 m below it; this blind spot will
increase if the detector is installed at a height greater than 2.3 m and will decrease if it is installed at a height less
than 2.3 m.
Unless otherwise required, for optimum performance we recommend installing the detector to 2.3 m height. If the
installation height is changed, run a detection test to make sure that the detector can normally detect intruders
then adjust the height.
Detector installation
The detector was designed to be mounted on a flat surface or in a corner by means of the fixing screws and the
anchor bolts provided.
The package contains a metal rotation bracket to allow adjusting the camera and sensor angle. The bracket is
provided with holes for fixing to a wall or in a corner.
Camera installation
1. Use the installation holes on the rotation bracket to mark the corresponding points on the wall or in a corner; if
necessary, insert the anchor bolts into the wall.
2. Screw the rotation bracket in the marked installation points.
3. Screw the bracket arm onto the detector (Figure 1).
4. Clip on the detector onto the rotation bracket and adjust the detector angle with the upper holes of the bracket (Figure
2).
5. Fix the detector onto the bracket by tightening the upper screw (Figure 3).
