Read the complete manual before attempting installation and activating the
system.
1. DESCRIPTION
The handsfree internal unit (intercom) of the range Access Control Standard is a unit with
3 function keys. It allows you to operate a lock and switch a light source. Furthermore, you
can adjust the volume of the ring tone or switch it off completely.
2. INSTALLATION
Which cables are required?
The diameter of the conductors of the cable is important for the maximum distance that
can be covered. For the maximum distances, see technical catalogue.
Possible cables are:
- JYSTY(-F2) 3 x 2 x 0.8mm
- TVVF(-F2) 3 x 2 x 0.8mm
- TPVF 3 x 2 x 0,6mm
- UTP 4 x 2 x 0,5mm (Limits the maximum distance. For specifications, see technical
catalogue).
- SVV 0,6mm of 0,8mm (not suitable for videophony)
- existing cable (for instance in case of renovation).
Notes:
• Not all of the cable pairs provided will actually be used. As a result, sufficient spare wires
are available if one of the wires is damaged or if you want to switch to videophony! To
cover a larger distance, pairs can be doubled.
• If cabling is already present (in case of renovation), you can use it as well. The diameter
of the conductors of the cable determines the maximum distances that can be covered
(for specifications, see technical catalogue).
Tip: Use the same color code for identical terminals (a, b, P...) for all the products in
one system!
2-wire cabling
For systems with 1 external unit, the installation
can be cabled in a 2-wire way. Connect a and b.
Terminal P does not have to be connected.
3-wire cabling
For systems with several external units or
more than 24 internal units, the installation
has to be cabled in a 3-wire way: a, b and P.
Terminal P has to be cabled separately. This
provides additional power.
