WALK TEST
The sensor 44-063 will operate automatically when the
voltage is connected. If necessary you can conduct a
walk test to ensure that the coverage area is correct.
Before the walk test, METRE is set to " + ", after which
the walk test can be started.
Procedure for walk test:
1. Position the transmitter so that it covers the
required coverage area.
2. The transmitter should be switched on for 30
seconds before the walk test is started.
3. Ensure that the transmitter and receiver have
the same channel setting.
4. Check whether the transmitter's LED is
functioning normally.
5. Get a person outside the coverage area to
move through the coverage area.
6. The first time the person activates the
sensor, the LED will light for approx. 2
seconds and transmit a signal to the receiver,
after which the LED goes out. It takes around
5 seconds before the transmitter is ready for
the next activation of the receiver.
7. The detection area is adjusted using METRE
and by turning the sensor.
8. Repeat steps 6 to 8 until the coverage area
meets your requirements.
Note:
Regardless of what setting METRE has, the widest
range cannot be regarded as a normal coverage area.
Troubleshooting
When the transmitter does not function satisfactorily,
the following points can be of assistance.
Problem:
Sensor's LED does not light.
1. Flat batteries or battery fitted incorrectly. No
power supply.
Receiver cannot receive signal.
1. Transmitter and receiver have different
channels set, or too great a distance
between transmitter and receiver.
! Reserving the right to make changes !
Possible cause:
Proposed solution:
1. Replace with correctly fitted new batteries.
Switch on adapter.
1. Ensure that the transmitter and receiver have
the same channel setting. Adjust transmitter
and receiver to be within range.
