ASSEMBLY
 Rinse the water reservoir thoroughly.
 Discard the waste water in accordance with local
regulations.
 Replace the drain plug and refill tray with clean water.
TO CONTROL THE FLOW OF WATER
See Figure 18.
 Fill the water tray with clean water as described below.
 Locate the "Max/Min" water flow selector on the pump.
For best performance, set the flow to "Max" to control
the flow of water over the wheel.
 The pump turns on when the motor is turned on. Let the
cutting wheel build up to full speed and wait for the wheel
to get wet before moving the material into the wheel.

INSTALLING SPLASH GUARD ASSEMBLY

The splash guard on this saw is a two-part assembly.
Attaching rear splash guard:
 Remove bolt and nut from the top of the cutting wheel
guard and the screw and washer from the back of the
cutting wheel guard.
 Line up rear splash guard holes with bolt and screw holes
on the cutting wheel guard, as shown.
 Insert bolt through the cutting wheel guard and rear splash
guard then thread into nut. Tighten securely.
 Insert screw through washer and rear splash guard then
thread into screw hole.
 Tighten securely. Be careful not to overtighten.
Attaching side splash guard:
 Install side splash guard over the rear splash guard.
 Insert post, located on side of cutting wheel guard,
through hole in side flap of guard.
 Insert the rubber post on the inside of the side splash
guard into the hole on the cutting wheel guard
 Squeeze the flaps on the top of the inside of the side
splash guard and insert them into the slot on the cutting
wheel guard.
NOTE: It may be helpful to open the cutting wheel guard
to access the slot for installing the flaps on the inside of
the splash guard.
 After assembly is complete, pull rear splash guard
outward so flaps rest over side splash guard.
