4. INSTALLATION

NOTICE
 The electric connections of the connector switching device must not be
exposed to humidity.
4.1 ELECTRODE HOLDER
Attach the included angle bracket using the 2 screws on the electrode
holder, as shown in the illustration.
NOTE: It is the small side of the bracket that is attached to the elec-
trode holder.

4.2 PUMP
• Unscrew the hose nut at the discharge outlet of the Sanipuddle pump.
• Remove the hose.
• Place the electrode holder directly on the discharge outlet with the electrodes poin-
ting downwards.
• Make sure the non-return valve is properly positioned.
• Replace the hose and tighten the nut.
The length of the electrodes is adapted to the Sanipuddle pump.
For use with other pumps, make sure that the electrode holder is properly attached
to the pump or tank. Adjust the electrode length if necessary. The difference in length
between the activation and deactivation electrodes corresponds to the switching
difference.
ATTENTION: THE CONTROL ELECTRODES MUST NOT TOUCH THE PUMP OR THE
WALLS OF THE TANK IN WHICH THE PUMP IS LOCATED.
The ground electrode must remain the longest electrode and can touch the floor. Make
sure that the switch-off point (specified by the length of the electrode) is safely reached
by the pump. It may be necessary to shorten the deactivation electrode.
If the electrodes have to be shortened to change the switching points, cut the cable
jacket at the lower end of the electrodes about 5 mm above the shortening. Before
commissioning, slightly screw the electrodes back on with pliers to prevent them from
being unscrewed while the pump is running. When adjusting the electrodes, observe the
minimum water level required at start-up as well as the minimum suction height. These
data can be found in the operating manual of the pump.
5. COMMISSIONING
• Connect the switching device to mains.
• Plug the connector of the pump in the switching device.
• Effect test runs.
Switching from the Drain function (factory setting) to the Fill function is described in
3.2 Operating Principle.
