6. Operation
DANGER! Risk of electric
shock!
Only plug the mains plug 13 into the
wall socket when the Spiral Cutter is
completely assembled.
DANGER! Risk of injury from
cutting!
The blades of the blade cones 6 are
sharp. Please be very careful when han-
dling them.
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
The device is designed for a maximum
operating time of 100 seconds without
interruption. After this, the device must
remain switched off until it has cooled
down to room temperature.
In order to prevent damage to the device,
interrupt the cutting process immediately
if the blade cone 6 is either turning with
difficulty or not turning at all. Pull out the
mains plug 13 and check if there is an
obstruction in the filler chute 2. Also
check whether the device is assembled
correctly.
6.1 Preparing food
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
Thick or firm peels (e.g. of kohlrabi,
pumpkin) must be removed before spiral
cutting.
• Wash vegetables and fruit thoroughly
and rub them dry. Remove stems and
buds, leaves, and the core if you wish.
• Vegetables and fruit are optimal in long
pieces with a diameter of 3 - 6 cm.
Food with a smaller diameter may not
be held firmly enough by the plunger 1.
• Select pieces of vegetables or fruit that
are as firm as possible.
• Cut the vegetables and fruit into pieces
suitable for the filler chute 2 by carefully
cutting off the edges.
• Straighten the end to be attached to the
plunger 1 by cutting off the end. This al-
lows the food to be firmly attached to
the plunger 1.
• Small seeds (e.g. apple pips) can be re-
moved from the bowl 12 by hand after
spiral cutting.
