Declination
1.
Loosen the DEC axis of the telescope, but do not let go of the telescope tube.
2.
Carefully test whether the telescope has a tendency to tilt to one side.
3.
lightly loosen the tube ring screws until you can move the tube in the tube rings. It is important that there
is still some thread engaged in the tube ring screws so that they cannot accidentally open.
4.
Slide the optical tube cautiously forwards and backwards. Test where the tube is at the balance point.
Re-tighten the tube ring screws once the tube has been slid to the balance point. It will now no longer tilt
when the axis is unlocked.
Your telescope is now balanced.
