3. Inspection
Unpack the equipment carefully and check for any damages. If the instrument is faulty you should
contact Starlab or your Starlab distributor promptly.
The packing includes:
1 Orbital Shaker

Accessories are not included and must be purchased separately. See chapter 8.1.

Place the instrument in safe and stable surface.

5. Operation
Installation
An initial trial operation should be performed as follows:
Ensure the instrument is standing on a stable, even surface. If the mounting surface is not even, you
can improve the stability of the instrument by adjusting the feet. To do this, turn the appropriate foot
downward with the wrench until the instrument is standing securely on the surface.
Make sure the required operating voltage and power supply voltage match.

Ensure the socket is securely earthed.

Plug in the power cable and power ON the instrument.
x
LCD displays the safe rotary speed limit.
x
LCD displays operating mode.
x
Turn the speed control knob to set the required shaking speed.
x
Press the speed control knob and the shaking function is switched ON.
x
Press the speed control knob again, and the shaking function is switched OFF.
x
If the operations above are normal, the instrument is ready to operate following the instruc-
x
tions in the "operating" chapter. If the operations are not normal, please contact STARLAB or
your Starlab distributor.
