1. Safety instructions
Before operation
Read the Instruction Manual carefully before use.

Ensure that only trained staff use the instrument. The instrument may only be opened by a
x
qualified and trained technician.
Make sure the socket is earthed before use.
x
Set the instrument on a stable, clean, dry, non-slip and fireproof surface.
x
Do not operate in hazardous areas.
x
Safe operation is only guaranteed with the original accessories from STARLAB. You willfind the
x
complete list in chapter 8.
Accessories must be securely attached.
x
Check instrument and accessories for damage before each use. Do not use damagedcompo-
x
nents.
The operation voltage mentioned on the label must match.
x
Always disconnect the plug before fitting accessories.
x
When working, wear personal protection to avoid the risk from splashing of liquids and possible
x
glass breakage which can result from mechanical vibrations.
During operation
Do not touch any running parts or attempt to move the instrument during operation.
x
Set the "speed-control knob" to the lowest position first and then gradually increase the speed.
x
Firmly secure the accessories and vessels in place to avoid damage or risk
x
Preparation of certain samples may lead to dangerous flammability. Only process samples that
x
will not react dangerously.
To ensure safety, follow the instructions for use for accessories. Please switch off the power
x
before assembly of accessories and ensure both the instrument and the accessories are intact
before switching on again.
2. Product description
The instrument is designed for mixing liquids.
Normal use: The instrument is designed for use in professional laboratories. Do not use it in residen-
tial areas.
