connection
! if necessary, use hex key C for loosening/
tightening screw A when handle connection
cannot be locked completely
- for folding the tool handle vice-versa
Extending tool to medium length (165 cm) 8
- loosen locking sleeve D by turning it in the direction of
the unlocking symbol on the tool
- extend the tool to the desired length (123 - 165 cm)
- tighten locking sleeve D by turning it in the direction of
the locking symbol on the tool
Extending tool to maximum length (220 cm) 9
- loosen locking sleeve E by turning it in the direction of
the unlocking symbol on the tool handle
- insert additional handle F into the end of the tool handle
until the marking as illustrated aligns with the edge of
locking sleeve E
- tighten locking sleeve E by turning it in the direction of
the locking symbol on the tool handle
! extending the tool to its maximum length is only
possible when tool is already extended to its
medium length
Backing pads q
- never run the tool without backing pad G
! replace damaged backing pads immediately
(loosen/fasten pad screw H with hex key C)
! unplug tool before removing/mounting backing
pads
Mounting sanding discs w
- simply press sanding disc J onto backing pad with
perforation in sanding disc corresponding with
perforation in backing pad
- if necessary, clean backing pad first
! the dust suction requires the use of perforated
sanding discs
Dust suction e
- loosen locking sleeve E by turning it in the direction of
the unlocking symbol on the tool handle
- insert flexible hose K into the end of the tool handle as
illustrated
- tighten locking sleeve E by turning it in the direction of
the locking symbol on the tool handle
- connect the flexible hose with the Ø 57 mm adapter
directly to an industrial vacuum cleaner (remove
vacuum cleaner hose first)
- one may also connect flexible hose K with one of the
3 adapters to an industrial vacuum cleaner without
removing the vacuum cleaner hose
- for mounting vacuum cleaner adapter L or M use
screwdriver N as illustrated
Tool standard/airflow control r
- tool standard P prevents the hose from damage when
putting the tool aside during work breaks
- control the airflow by sliding regulator Q over the
opening in tool connector R
- the vacuuming power is at its lowest level when the
opening is fully visible
On/off locking switch S t
- switch on tool t a
! before the accessory reaches the workpiece, the
tool should run at full speed
- lock switch t b
- unlock switch/switch off tool t c
! before switching off the tool, you should lift it from
the workpiece
! the accessory continues to rotate for a short time
after the tool has been switched off
Electronic soft-start
Ensures reaching the maximum speed smoothly without
a sudden impact when tool is switched on
Electronic constant speed
Keeps the speed at a constant level as the load
increases
Speed control y
For optimal sanding results on different materials
- with wheel T you can adjust the sanding speed
steplessly from minimum to maximum
- always adjust speed to grit size used
- before starting a job, find the optimal speed and grit by
testing out on spare material
Holding and guiding the tool u
! always hold the tool firmly with both hands
! while working, always hold the tool at the grey-
coloured grip area(s)
- guide the tool parallel to the working surface and move
it in circles or in a cross pattern
! do not apply too much pressure on the tool; let the
sanding surface do the work for you
- do not tilt the tool in order to avoid unwanted sanding
marks
- keep ventilation slots V 2 uncovered
Sanding
- the amount of material removed is determined by the
speed of the sanding disc and the grit size used
- the speed of the sanding disc decreases relative to the
pressure applied to the tool
APPLICATION ADVICE
Use the tool at extended length for sanding (higher) walls
i
Use the tool at maximum length for sanding ceilings o
For sanding hard-to-reach places pad cover segment W
can be removed as illustrated p
