5. - CARE AND MAINTENANCE.

The Archimede Cressi-sub dive computer is constructed to
withstand the most demanding diving conditions. It is, how-
ever, a high precision tool, which requires proper care. You
should avoid violent impacts, keep the device away from
heat and humidity, avoid storing it when still wet, avoid
impacts and contact with heavy equipment such as cylin-
ders.
IMPORTANT: Your dive computer should not come in
contact with solvents or any type of chemical substances;
do not use compressed air to dry the dive computer; do
not use in hyperbaric chambers if the device is not fully
submerged.
NOTE: Always rinse the computer with freshwater after
use
The computer buttons need no special care; never lubricate
them with oil or any type of spray substances.
NOTE: Visually check the battery housing through its
look-through cover. If you detect some signs of humidity
inside, have the computer checked by a Service Center
authorized by Cressi-sub.
In case of operation failure, do not use the computer during
your dive and contact a Service Center authorized by Cressi-
sub to fix it.

5.1. - Battery Replacement.

Battery replacement is a very easy operation that can be
done by the user, since it requires no particular skills to per-
form it. The battery must be replaced whenever the low
power battery symbol
already described above in this manual (fig. 2).
IMPORTANT: When you replace the battery, all data
regarding desaturation, time and date will be lost. Reset
the time and date again to have the right data stored in the
computer Logbook. Never replace the battery when
desaturation is under way, since all data for desaturation
calculation would be lost. If necessary, take note of the
desaturation hours indicated in the computer and, after
battery replacement, do not take more dives for the same
time interval. After battery replacement, all default settings
by the manufacturer will be resumed (for example
F02=21% and PO2=1.4 bar)
In order to replace the battery, remove its look-through cover,
unscrewing it, with the aid of a coin, in the direction indicated
