The digital zoom is not available for recording video
clips.
While the Zoom button is held down, no sound is re-
corded.
The microphone is active during video recording and
the sound is also recorded.
The video clips are saved with the sound as AVI files.

7.5. Recording audio clips

The microphone is on the front left of the camera beneath the
lens. Take care not to touch the microphone during the record-
ing.
 Select VOICE REC
in the Recording menu.
 Press the shutter release to start the recording. The recording
bar appears in the display.
 Press the shutter release again to stop recording.
