Glue the plywood plate (10) for the wing locating dowels and the plywood cross-piece (29) in the
fuselage as shown. Drill out the cooling air intakes in the fuselage nose, and open the slots up to final
size using a file or a miniature rotary burr.
Fix the COMPACT motor to the motor bulkhead (11) using the retaining screws (12) and the washers
(13).
Place the spinner on the propeller shaft, and check that the motor is correctly positioned. When you
are satisfied, tack the bulkhead (11) to the fuselage with a few drops of epoxy.
Let the glue set hard, then unscrew the motor and apply a fillet of epoxy all round the bulkhead from
the front and on the inside of the fuselage.
Drill a 1.5 mm Ø pilot-hole on the fuselage centreline for the self-tapping screw (14), and fit the screw
in the hole; apply a fillet of epoxy round the screw tip on the inside of the fuselage. The speed
controller and the canopy can be fixed to the fuselage using pieces of Velcro tape (16) and (17), as
shown in the picture.
