1.2.2 SAFETY BEAMS WITH FUNCTIONING TEST

Through the safety beams' test, the control unit can verify, before every operation, that there are no short circuits or wrong
activities dangerous for the functionality and safety of the system.
Hence this test grants the system's safety even if a single damage occurs, as required by the norms EN13241-1 and EN12453. In
order to activate this test it is necessary to follow the procedure "ACTIVATION OF THE SAFETY BEAMS' TEST" (see page 29), after
having connected the safety beams and the other devices.

DESCRIPTION
The power supply of the transmitting safety
beam is separated by that of the receiving one
and must be withdrawn from the output line
(TEST) of the control unit. It is not necessary to
follow the polarity of the two wires.
The power supply of the receivers safety beam
is separated by that of the receiving one and
must be withdrawn from the output line
(24Vac) of the control unit. It is not necessary
to follow the polarity of the two wires.
DESCRIPTION
It works during the closure with an immediate
inversion of the opening movement for 2 sec.

CONNECTION TERMINALS
They must be connected to the termi-
nals 10 and 12 (TEST).
