Using SureCut Crease Rule Dies

A SureCut Crease Rule Die is similar to a regular SureCut Die; however, it
contains both cutting (sharp) rule and crease (blunt) rule.
Crease rule dies require the Premium Cutting Pad.
Use only one sheet of material at a time to prevent the crease (blunt) rule
from cutting through the paper.
Refer to Operating Instructions (page 4).
If crease rule is cutting through the material rather than creasing the material,
remove Mylar Shims one at a time (Figure F, page 8) until desired creasing
occurs.

Suggestions for Successful Cutting

With some DC dies, it is helpful to cut an extra time in the middle of the die.
Prestige SpaceSaver can be used to cut anything scissors can cut. See
Materials Guide on page 12 and 13 for suggestions.
Turn the Cutting Pad over routinely (weekly for high usage), turning from side to
side. Turning the Cutting Pad allows both sides to wear evenly. Replace Cutting
Pad when both sides are worn and no longer cutting with one pull of the handle.
Note: If a Cutting Pad is not turned routinely and is severely worn on one side,
it may cause a slight warping of the pad, thereby making it impossible to use the
reverse side. Properly discard the Cutting Pad and replace with a new one (see
Replacing the Cutting Pad, page 9). NEVER place any material on top of dies.
Some Ellison dies come with a Quick Cut Shim pre-attached with instructions.
No other dies require a Quick Cut Shim.
