CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Warning: disconnect the plug from the power socket before routine cleaning.
Descaling
Warning: before cleaning the appliance, switch it off and disconnect the plug from
the power socket.
For a longer mister and accessory lifetime, remove limescale more often if the
water is very hard.
Tank:
A. Add 10/15 drops of white wine vinegar (8 degrees) or acetic acid or a
descaling substance to the tank for 5 minutes.
B. Rinse thoroughly, adding water, and then check that it is perfectly dry.
The tank must be cleaned regularly; the water must always be emptied out,
after which wash it with soapy water and rinse it thoroughly, to prevent dirt and
limescale formation. To empty out the water, remove the tank from the base.
Do not use abrasive products: metal scouring pads or abrasive products must
not be used. Before using them, check that they are perfectly dry.
Failure to comply with maintenance and cleaning instructions might lead to the
formation of microorganisms in the water. The cleaning operations which
follow must therefore be carried out regularly to ensure that your mister
operates correctly and efficiently. The importance of correct, constant cleaning
of the appliance to prevent bacteria and algae from forming inside it must be
underlined.
Inspect the steam outlet orifice regularly to ensure that it is not obstructed.
Clean the outside with a clean, damp cloth; do not use abrasive or corrosive
products.
Never immerse any part of the fan (except the tank) in water or any other
liquid: if this does occur, do not place your hands in the liquid without first
removing the plug from the power socket. Dry the appliance carefully and
check that all electrical parts are dry: if in doubt, contact professionally
qualified staff.
It is essential to keep the motor ventilation holes free from dust and fluff.
For long periods out of use, the fan must be stored in a place protected from
dust and damp; we advise using the original packaging.
If you decide that this appliance is not to be used any more, it must be
rendered unusable by cutting off the power supply cable (first disconnecting
the plug from the power supply socket), while the parts which could be
dangerous if used in children's play (such as the fan blade) must be made safe.
The remote control battery must be disposed of in the containers provided;
dispose of batteries in accordance with the regulations in force.
