If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or its technical assistance centre or by someone
who is similarly qualified, in order to prevent any risks.
Make sure the cable is correctly positioned and do not place
anything on top of it.
Ensure that the fan is disconnected from the mains power
supply before removing the protective screen.
INSTALLATION
After unpacking, check that all parts of the appliance are present; if in doubt, do
not use and contact a qualified technician. The packaging materials (plastic bags,
polystyrene, metal staples, etc.) must not be left within reach of children, as they
constitute possible sources of danger and must be disposed of according to
applicable regulations in recycling containers. Warning: any stickers or advertising
leaflets applied must be removed before using the appliance.
Before connecting the appliance, check that the voltage shown on the data plate
matches that of your electricity, and that the electric plug is grounded. In the event
of incompatibility between the electric outlet and the plug of the appliance, have
the outlet replaced with another more suitable type by professionally qualified
personnel, who will make sure that the section of the wires of the outlet is
appropriate for the absorbed power of the heater. In general, the use of adapters
or extension cords is not recommended; if their use is indispensable, they must
conform to existing safety standards and their current capacity (amperes) must
not be less that the maximum of the appliance.
The power socket must be easy to reach so the plug can be removed quickly in
case of emergency.
Check that all wheels are resting on the floor and place the appliance on a flat,
horizontal, stable surface, well away from:
- heat sources (e.g. naked flames, gas burners, etc.)
- fabrics (curtains, etc.) or airborne materials which may obstruct the intake grilles;
check that there are no airborne materials on the front
- a bathtub, a shower or a swimming-pool, washbasins, etc. (distance of at least 2
metres)
- Lock the appliance in place by lowering the brake levers on the wheels
Take great care when moving the appliance around; take hold of the handle and
only move the appliance in the vertical position, never tilting it.
