OBSERVED FAULTS, POSSIBLE CAUSES AND REMEMEDIES
OBSERVED FAULT
• Motor does not start, no ignition
• Motor starts, no ignition or cuts out
• Motor starts, heater emits smoke
• Heater does not stop
• Motor does not stop
If heater still not working properly, please revert to nearest authorized dealer.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
• No electrical current
• Wrong setting of room thermostat or other
control
• Thermostat or other control defective
• Electrical motor defective
• Electrical motor bearings defective
• Burned out condenser
• Electric ignitor defective
• Flame control box defective
• Photocell defective
• Not enough or no fuel at all at burner
• Solenoid defective
• Not enough combustion air
• Too much combustion air
• Fuel contaminated or contains water
• Air leaks in fuel circuit
• Not enough fuel at burner
• Too much fuel at burner
• Solenoid defective
• Ventilation thermostat defective

REMEDY
• Check mains (shouid be 230-240V-1-50Hz)
• Check proper positioning and functioning of switch
• Check fuse
• Check correct setting of heater control. If thermostat,
sure selected temperature is higher than room temperat
• Replace control device
• Replace electrical motor
• Replace electrical motor bearings
• Replace condenser
• Check connection of H.T. Ieads to electrodes
transformer
• Check electrodes setting (see scheme I)
• Check electrodes for cleanliness
• Replace H.T. transformer
• Replace control box
• Clean or replace photocell
• Check state of motor-pump plastic coupling
• Check fuel line system including fuel filter for possible
• Clean or replace oil nozzle
• Check electrical connection
• Check thermostat LI
• Clean or replace solenoid
• Make sure air inlet and outlet are free
• Check setting of combustion air flap
• Clean burner disc
• Check setting of combustion air flap
• Drain fuel in tank with clean fuel
• Clean oil filter
• Check fuel line and filter for possible leaks
• Check pump pressure
• Clean or replace fuel nozzle
• Check pump pressure
• Replace nozzle
• Replace solenoid coil or complete solenoid
• Replace FA thermostat
