Brewing coffee
44
In order to brew aromatic coffee, please observe the following
instructions:
If possible, use freshly ground coffee powder for optimum
■
flavor.
Experiment with the amount of coffee powder until you find the
■
flavor you prefer.
Fill the water tank with the amount fresh water required for the
■
desired number of cups.
Clean and descale the appliance at regular intervals (see
■
section Cleaning and care). A dirty and/or scaled appliance
impairs the aroma.
Although the hot plate is able to keep the coffee warm for
■
some time, we recommend filling a thermos flask with the
coffee and turning off the appliance.
NOTE
When the appliance is in operation, the coffee jug (5) must
►
be under the filter compartment (3). The lid of the coffee jug
pushes the drip-stop (9) upwards and the coffee can flow
from the filter through the lid and into the coffee jug.
The drip-stop prevents water from running out of the filter
►
when the coffee jug (5) is removed from the appliance.
During the brewing process, the coffee jug (5) should not be
removed from the appliance for more than a few seconds,
otherwise the filter will overflow.
