3. INSTALLATION
3.1. Mounting and connecting the video power supply
Tip: The following cables are recommended for use in the installation:
Cable type

TPVF
TVVF (-F2)

The thickness of the wires in the cable determines the maximum distance between the

power supply and the internal or external video unit.
Tip: Within one installation, use the same colour coding for the same terminals (a, b, P,
M, V1, V2) for all products from the Niko Access Control range.
Danger: Disconnect all power before installing the video power supply unit. Do not connect
the unit to the mains voltage until installation has been completed.
Connect the cables as shown in the wiring diagram below:
terminals a and b: communication bus (24 Vdc)

terminals P and M

Use a twisted cable (six-wire) for the installation. A twisted cable guarantees optimal
video image quality.
Some external units do not have an M terminal. In these external units, connect the
*
wire to the b terminal.
