Problems - Possible causes - Solutions

The following table lists the most common problems and solutions.
Problem

Possible cause
The plug has not been correctly inserted in the power
socket
The power cable is damaged
The double pole switch of the mains supply is turned
off
The electronic controller has not been programmed
correctly
The electronic controller is in STANDBY
The automatic defrost procedure is running (the G
icon is visible on the display)
The temperature setpoint has already been reached
inside the refrigerated compartment
The compressor is faulty
The temperature measurement sensor is faulty or
incorrectly calibrated
The lighting system is switched off
The lighting system is damaged
The electronic controller has not been programmed
correctly
The door is not hermetically closed
The refrigerated compartment has been over-filled
The appliance has been installed near a source of heat
Insufficient ventilation space
The fan grille is bocked
The fan is not switched on
The fan is faulty
The refrigeration circuit is damaged or contains insuffi-
cient refrigerant
The temperature measurement sensor is faulty or
incorrectly calibrated
Solution
Insert the plug correctly
Check the condition of the power cable. If the cable
is damaged, contact a qualified electrician to have it
replaced
Turn the switch on
Make sure that the procedure described in "Putting
into service" on page 14 has been completed cor-
rectly
Perform a RESET as instructed in "Restoring default
settings" on page 15
Press the Q key for 4 seconds
Wait for the procedure to finish (the G icon disappears
from the display)

Contact an authorised dealer
Make sure that the procedure described in "Changing
the temperature SETPOINT" on page 14 has been
completed correctly
Close the door and check that nothing is preventing it
from closing tightly
Check the condition of the door seal. If it is worn, con-
tact an authorised dealer to have it replaced
Reduce the load
Move the appliance and follow the instructions given
in "Place of installation" on page 10
Check that ventilation space conforms to the require-
ments given in "Place of installation" on page 10
Unblock the fan grille
Turn the fan on at the corresponding switch
Contact an authorised dealer
Contact an authorised dealer
