Starter Motor
A starter motor is not provided with the engine. The following parts are designed for the LT1 starting system (Figure 7).

Knock Sensor Heat Shield
The production system uses a heat shield to protect the driver's side knock sensor. That is due to the close proximity of the exhaust
manifold to the knock sensor. If required for your application, the parts are listed in (Figure 8).
