If the unit will still be used for a longer time, the power of the batteries decreases further.
To avoid the loss of program parameters, the unit can not be operated any longer.
Now immediately replace the batteries.
With the ON/OFF-button the stimulator has to be turned off. On the back side of the unit
the battery cover has to be removed by pushing the convex and it has to be slided
downwards, and the batteries have to be taken out. The new batteries have to be insert-
ed correctly with respect to the polarity (note + and – symbols).

6.3 Maintenance of the Gel-Electrodes

1. For the electrodes maintenance some water has to be applied to the adhesive elec-
trodes after each application. It has to be dried a few seconds before attaching the
electrode to the silicone pad. The bag with the electrodes has to be closed carefully
to avoid desiccation. It has to be kept at room temperature.
2. It has to be kept in mind that the working life of an electrode depends on correct
maintenance as well as on the type of current used and is strength. A clean skin is
of great importance. Electrodes which do not stick properly to the skin must be reat-
tached.
3. It has to be applied only to healthy skin. In case of allergies or skin irritation, treat-
ment has to be stopped and a doctor has to be consulted.

6.4 Immediate Maintenance

1. Mechanical strain, e.g. the instrument was dropped and, therefore, damaged;
2. The instrument was overheated after leaving it near a source of heat;
3. Suspicion that water has entered the instrument;
4. Case or other parts of the device are damaged, broken or missing;
5. The unit does not seem to work properly.

6.5 Disposal and guarantee

DAVITA
are recyclable materials and environmentally acceptable to dispose. Bat-
teries and electro devices which are signed with the crossed wheelie bin
symbol are not allowed to be thrown into the domestic waste. It exists the
obligation to dispose such devices separately. The communal public au-
thority which is responsible for the disposal gives information regarding
the possibilities of a regulated disposal.
