c) Wheel Change
The tyres of the vehicle are not glued to the wheel rim. Depending on the ground on which the vehicle is run when
drifting, gluing may be required to keep the tyre from coming loose from the rim.
Use a suitable superglue for this, for example.
If the tyres are glued to the rim, the entire wheel must be replaced if the tyres are worn.
Proceed as follows for wheel change:
Loosen the wheel nut (1) with a suitable hexagon wrench. Then remove the wheel from the wheel axle (3).
Then the new wheel is plugged on so that the hexagon socket on the wheel rim's inside is precisely pushed onto the
wheel tappet nut (2).
Screw the wheel on to the wheel axle (3) with the wheel nut (1) removed at first. However, do not apply any force for
screwing on. This will require greater force to turn the wheel, which may damage the drive.
The wheel tappet nut (2) may remain in the rim when re-
moving the wheel or detach from the wheel axle (3) when
the wheel is taken off. In this case ensure that the driving
pin (4) does not fall out and gets lost.
4
When the wheel is later replaced, ensure that the tappet
pin (4) is exactly in the centre of the wheel axle (3) and
inserted into the respective groove of the wheel tappet nut
(2).
3
If the tappet pin (4) is missing, no torque can be transfer-
red from the motor to the wheel and the wheel will spin
freely.
