7. Installation of the battery pack and camera

1. Drill a 10mm hole next to the interior light and drag the battery pack power
cable on the back of the panel according to the illustration. Fasten the cable
with stick on wire clip pads.
2. Make sure there is no power in the trailer by disconnecting the trailer from the car,
or any other power source (i.e trailer battery that may be fitted). Connect the
power lead with terminals to the interior light. Use either the horse shoe joints or
the self-tapping connectors supplied. Connect the white-striped cable to the posi-
tive pole (+) and the black cable to the negative pole (–) of the power source.
3. Attach the magnet side of battery pack to the back of the panel. Make sure the
LED is visible through the hole in the panel. Connect the power lead to the
battery pack.
4. Mount the camera with the nuts and bolts at the pre-drilled holes.
5. Drag the camera power cable through the hole to the back of the panel.
Connect the camera to the battery pack.
6. Connect the trailer to the car, start the engine and turn on the lights of the car to
make sure that there is power running through the system. If there is power
running through the cable, the LED on the battery pack will illuminate.
7. Turn on the monitor. If the image doesn't show up automatically, select the
correct channel by pressing the channel selector. Adjust the angle of the
camera if neccessary.
