5. Planning the installation
Look at the illustration above to get familiar with how the products are used in your
trailer and car.
Battery pack & camera
The battery pack is used to supply the camera with power during day time if the
car lights are switched off and when there is no power in the trailer. In this user
guide we will describe how to mount the camera and battery pack in the front of
the trailer, using the interior light as power source.
If you plan to mount the camera elsewhere, make sure the cables are long enough.
Avoid placing the battery pack where it could be dislodged or damaged by the
horses, or get wet whilst using or cleaning out the trailer.
LCD Monitor
The monitor is mounted to the vehicle windscreen using the suction bracket. Power
is supplied via the lighter socket adapter. – NOTE there is no battery in the monitor.
NOTICE!
We recommend to fully charge the battery pack before starting the installation.
To charge the battery pack for the first time use the included 220V/240V power
adapter (see chapter 4, Explanation of the included products).
Information
The 2,4 GHz frequency signals are sent as radio waves in the air. The waves
can penetrate most objects or bounce around them. However, the signals loose
strength at every obstacle (windows, walls etc.) they need to penetrate. If
penetrating metal, the signal strength will be substantially reduced.
