6. Planning the placement of camera & monitor
The illustration above is an example on how to mount your camera and monitor. Due to the
length of the camera power cable, the camera should be placed at a maximum distance of
3 m from suitable power source. The power source is often the tractor battery.
The monitor power cable is 2 m long. Power to the monitor can be drawn either from a
lighter socket (112CIG) or directly using the alternative adapter cable. (112KAB)
At a free line of sight the range between the camera and monitor is up to 150 m.
However, all machines are different so please try out the signal quality before mounting
the items permanently. You can use the optional larger antenna with cable to shorten the
transmission distance and get a better signal.
INfOrMATION
The 2,4 GHz frequency signals are sent out as radio waves in the air. The
waves can penetrate most objects or bounce around them. However, the
signals loose strength at every obstacle they need to penetrate.
7. Installing the monitor
1. Mount the monitor foot in the tractor and attach the monitor. Make sure everything is
properly fitted and steady.
2. Connect the lighter socket adapter to the lighter socket and then to the monitor. You
can also connect the monitor directly using the alternative adapter cable. (112KAB)
3. Turn on the ignition to power up the monitor. If it doesn't turn on automatically, press
the Power button. As the camera is not yet installed no image will show up on the
display at this point.
