ANNEX: Application note with LEM safety tester:
Together with the high external field rejection and the huge
dynamic current range starting at 1 mA (official spec) the
PR1200X is ideally suited for leakage current measure-
ments in electrical installations and/or appliances together
with insulation testers like the ISOplus which offers a mA
input and 200 µA .. 200 mA current ranges.
The link from insulation testing to leakage current
measurements is common place in today's electrical
installations. The ISOplus combined with the
PR1200X offers in this respect a lot of opportunities in
the field of professional all-in-one measurement
technology.
Additionally, the PR1200X starts to develop its full
benefit when using it with the SATURN 700XE –
Portable Appliance Tester.
Differential current measurements or protective
conductor resistance measurements prescribed in
the appliance tester standards can be done without
disconnecting the appliance under test (permanently
installed appliances).
This feature of the SATURN 700 XE together with the
PR1200X is unique on the market and is a major
benefit to the user in day-to-day appliance testing!
