With the connected current probe (PR1200X) the PE
resistance can also be determined for permanently
connected appliances (e.g. hot-water apparatus) without
breaking into the circuit and without influence from parallel
earth connections. For this measurement, the PR1200X will
be clamped around the PE-conductor, evaluating only that
part of the measuring current which flows through the PE
conductor.
Differential current measurement (I ) with SATURN

As per DIN VDE 0702 "Repeated tests on electrical
devices" you can measure the differential current on safety
class I devices if it is not possible to cover all parts charged
with mains voltage with the insulation resistance measure-
ment or if the insulation measurement cannot be effected
for other reasons, e.g. triggering of voltage-limiting
protective elements or excessive voltage load on electronic
components.
