• Disassemble the valve and either apply 617H46 Bonding Agent to the
contact surface of the lower screw ring (Fig. 4) or place the included
O-ring (11) in this position. Position the lower screw ring in the socket
(Fig. 5). Place the ring of the safety shackle on the lower screw ring.
• Tighten the upper screw ring. The pin wrench can be used for tightening
the upper screw ring (Fig. 6).
• Affix the upper part of the safety shackle to the upper part of the valve.
This will prevent that the upper part of the valve can get lost.
3.1.1.2 Completion of a flexible inner socket with carbon frame
The enclosed lamination dummy (7) provides for the space required for the
upper screw ring in the laminated socket.
• After vacuum forming of the definitive inner socket of ThermoLyn, grind away
the material covering the vacuum forming dummy until it is flush (Fig.3).
• Remove the 503S3 Screw.
• Put the lamination dummy onto the vacuum forming dummy and secure
with the enclosed countersunk head screw (Fig. 7). The 5Z1 Lamination
Kit with the aid of the Technical Information 2.3.5 or the 5Z4 Lamination
Kit for CAT-CAM can be used for reinforcement of the frame.
• After laminating, grind away the material covering the lamination dummy
until it is flush and remove the countersunk head screw.
• Remove the carbon frame with inner socket from the plaster positive.
• Position the flexible inner socket in the carbon frame. Affix the upper part
of the safety shackle to the upper part of the valve. This will prevent that
the upper part of the valve can get lost.
• Make sure that the valve upper part can be easily installed into and removed
from the valve base part. Remove more excessive material if necessary.
