EN – operating instructions and warning notes for infrared heaters
3.2 SUPPLEMENTARY INSTRUCTIONS FOR MOUNTING THE MARBLE HEATER
The marble heater is delivered WITHOUT an electrical plug connector. The necessary connection work must be carried out
on site by a qualified electrician.
The marble heater is delivered WITHOUT wall plugs and screws, since the considerably higher weight may necessitate ac-
cordingly adapted mounting materials; it must be possible for the customer to procure these materials.
The marble heater is intended exclusively for wall mounting. Mount it horizontally, with the connection socket to the side or
underneath. The connection box on the wall should be behind the heating element. The distance between the floor and the
heater should be about 15 cm.
Using a 10 mm masonry drill, drill two holes in the wall with the same spacing as the upper fixings of the marble slab.
ATTENTION: the heating element hangs about 3 cm lower than the hole! Please use the appropriate wall plugs for the cor-
responding wall structure.
Fasten the holders provided firmly to the wall by means of wall plugs and hexagonal head screws. The u-shaped recess points
away from the wall in an upward direction.
Hang the marble heater in the holder.
3.3 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSITIONING
Make sure that the mounted infrared heater can radiate into the room with the least possible hindrance. Mounting the appliance
directly behind a sofa or a cabinet is to be avoided at all costs.
The optimum amount of heat is obtained with horizontal wall mounting
If the infrared radiation does not reach certain surfaces in the room due to improper positioning, this is called the "shadow ef-
fect". Optimum positioning can avoid shadow effects. For detailed information on optimum positioning, please ask the dealer
from whom you purchased the infrared heater.
3.4 INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIRST-TIME OPERATION
Follow the mounting instructions given above.
Now connect the infrared heater to a properly installed wall socket (follow the safety instructions given above).
You can now put the infrared heater into operation. The heat-up time is about 5 to 10 minutes. If you do not immediately obtain
a comfortable, warm room climate, allow the heating element to run for a longer period, since the first time it is operated it may
be the case that cold objects (furniture, walls, ceiling, floor, etc.) first have to warm up.
3.5 INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE FIRST-TIME OPERATION OF THE MARBLE HEATER
Follow the mounting instructions given above.
Do not heat up the marble heater to the maximum temperature at once. First allow the marble heater to warm up to room tem-
perature. When heating up for the first time, switch off three or four times after every 30 minutes to allow the stone to warm up
slowly to operating temperature.
3.6 INSTRUCTIONS FOR HANDLING
Never place articles of clothing or similar items on the heating element (build-up of heat and possible fire risk).
Slight material noises may be audible due to expansion or contraction when heating up or cooling down. This is entirely normal
and is not a reason for complaint.
