Power supply
• The provided short power supply cord should be used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entang-
led in or tripping over a longer cord. Do not use an extension cord with this product.
• Before switching on, make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is the same as indicated on the
rating plate. Connecting it to any other power source may cause damage.
• Always ensure your hands are dry before handling the plug.
• Never immerse the powersupply cord, plug or motor in water or any other liquid. This is to protect against
electrical shock.
• Never let the power cord hang over the edge of a counter or table.
• Always unplug the appliance from the mains supply, if the appliance begins to malfunction. Do not att-
empt to use or repair the malfunctioning appliance.
• If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not operate properly. It
should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other appliances.
Technical Safety
• Always carry out regular checks on the appliance and power cord. Should there be any signs of damage;
the entire appliance should be returned to the retailer' s Customer Service department.
• Always handle the blades carefully, they are extremely sharp.
• Always unplug this unit when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.
• Always use a spatula when scraping down the insides of the blending jug, Do this only when the appliance
is not running.
• Never touch moving parts. Never put hands or utensils inside the blending jug when it is in use, otherwise
there may be risk of personal injury or damage to the appliance.
• Never use your appliance continuously for periods in excess of 30 seconds. This is to prevent the motor
from overheating. Allow to rest for 1 minute before continuing to blend.
• To prevent plasticisers from migrating from the finish of the countertop or tabletop or other furniture,
place non-plastic coasters or place mats between the appliance and the finish of the countertop or table-
top. Failure to do so may cause the finish to darken; permanent blemishes may occur or stains can appear.
• Never leave the appliance unattended during use
Localization
• Always make sure the appliance is used on a stable, level surface, close to a power socket and out of reach
of children.
• Never place the unit or cord on or near heat sources.
