5.4 Mischen der Tonquellen
1) Den Crossfader (21) in die Mittelposition schie-
ben.
2) Die Umschalttaste (2) drücken: Bei dieser Ta-
stenstellung zeigt die LED-Pegelanzeige (3) den
Masterpegel an.
3) Den Masterregler (17) so weit aufdrehen, daß
das Mischungsverhältnis der angeschlossenen
Tonquellen optimal eingestellt werden kann.
4) Die Kanalfader (10) aufziehen und mit ihnen das
gewünschte Lautstärkeverhältnis der Tonquellen
untereinander einstellen. Wird ein Kanal nicht be-
nutzt, sollte sein Kanalfader auf Minimum gestellt
werden.
5) Mit dem Regler BALANCE (16) die Balance für
den Masterausgang (27) einstellen.
6) Anhand der LED-Pegelanzeige mit dem Master-
regler den gewünschten Gesamtpegel einstellen,
der am Masterausgang (27) zur Verfügung steht.
Optimale Aussteuerung liegt vor, wenn bei
den lautesten Passagen die grünen 0-dB-LEDs
der Pegelanzeige kurz aufleuchten. Bei Über-
steuerungen (rote LEDs leuchten) den Master-
regler zurückdrehen und/oder die Fader der Ein-
gangskanäle zurücksetzen.
5.5 Vorhören der Kanäle über einen
Kopfhörer
Über die Vorhörfunktion (PFL = Pre Fader Listening)
ist es möglich, jeden Eingangskanal über einen an
der Buchse PHONES (20) angeschlossenen Kopf-
hörer abzuhören, auch wenn der dazugehörige Ka-
nalfader (10) auf Minimum steht. Dadurch kann z. B.
auf einer CD der gewünschte Titel ausgewählt oder
der richtige Zeitpunkt zum Einblenden einer Ton-
quelle abgepaßt werden.
Wahlweise ist es auch möglich, das laufende
Musikprogramm vor dem Masterregler (17) abzu-
hören.
1) Zum Abhören eines Eingangskanals vor dem
Kanalfader die entsprechende Taste PFL (8)

5.4 Mixing the audio sources
1) Move the crossfader (21) to its mid-position.
2) Press the selector button (2): In this position the
LED level display (3) will indicate the master
level.
3) Turn up the master control (17) to such an extent
to allow an optimum adjustment of the mixing
ratio of the connected audio sources.
4) Move up the channel faders (10) and adjust the
desired volume ratio of the audio sources to each
other. If a channel is not used, set the channel
fader to its minimum position.
5) Adjust the balance for the master output (27) via
the control BALANCE (16).
6) By means of the LED level display with the
master control adjust the desired overall level
present at the master output (27).
There is optimum control if the green 0 dB
LEDs of the level display shortly light up during
music peaks. In case of overload (red LEDs light
up) turn back the master control and/or reset the
faders of the input channels.
5.5 Pre-fader listening of the channels via
headphones
The PFL function (PFL = Pre Fader Listening) allows
to monitor each of the input channels via head-
phones connected to the jack PHONES (20) even if
the corresponding channel fader (10) is set to its
minimum position. Thus e. g. the desired title on a
CD or the optimum moment for fading in an audio
source can be selected.
There is also an option for monitoring the current
music programme ahead of the master fader (17).
1) For monitoring an input channel ahead of the
channel fader, press the corresponding button
PFL (8) and move the crossfader (19) to its
extreme left position (position PFL).

die Pegelanzeige (3) den Pre Fader-Pegel von
Kanal 2 (obere LED-Kette) und von Kanal 3 (un-
tere LED-Kette) an.
2) Zum Abhören des laufenden Musikprogramms vor
dem Masterregler den Crossfader (19) ganz nach
rechts (Position PGM) schieben.
3) Mit dem Regler LEVEL (18) die gewünschte
Kopfhörerlautstärke einstellen.
Achtung! Stellen Sie die Kopfhörerlautstärke
nie sehr hoch ein. Hohe Lautstärken
können auf Dauer das Gehör schä-
digen! Das menschliche Ohr ge-
wöhnt sich an große Lautstärken
und empfindet sie nach einiger Zeit
als nicht mehr so hoch. Darum eine
hohe Lautstärke nach der Gewöh-
nung nicht weiter erhöhen.
5.6 Abhören des Musikprogramms über eine
Monitoranlage
Es besteht die Möglichkeit, das laufende Musikpro-
gramm vor dem Masterregler (17) über eine ange-
schlossene Monitoranlage abzuhören. Den Verstär-
ker des Monitorsystems an die Buchsen BOOTH
(28) anschließen, und den Pegel für die Monitoran-
lage mit dem Regler BOOTH (15) einstellen.
5.7 Talkover-Funktion
Zur besseren Verständlichkeit einer Mikrofondurch-
sage bei laufendem Musikprogramm die Taste TALK-
OVER (9) drücken: Ist die Taste gedrückt, werden bei
Mikrofondurchsagen die Pegel der Kanäle 2 und 3
automatisch um 12 dB abgesenkt.
Bei nicht gedrückter Taste ist die Talkover-Funk-
tion abgeschaltet.

channel 2 (upper LED row) and of channel 3
(lower LED row).
2) For monitoring the current music programme
ahead of the master control, move the crossfader
to its extreme right position (position PGM).
3) Adjust the desired headphone volume via the
level control LEVEL (18).
Caution! Do not adjust the headphones to a
high volume. Permanent high vol-
umes may damage a person´s hear-
ing! The human ear gets accustom-
ed to high volumes which do not
seem to be that high after some
time. Therefore, do not further
increase a high volume after getting
used to it.
5.6 Monitoring the music programme via the
monitoring system
It is possible to monitor the current music pro-
gramme ahead of the master control (17) via a con-
nected monitoring system. Connect the amplifier of
the monitoring system to the jacks BOOTH (28) and
adjust the level for the monitoring system via the
control BOOTH (15).
5.7 Talkover function
For a better audibility of a microphone announcement
during the current music programme, press the but-
ton TALKOVER (9): If the button is pressed, the levels
of channel 2 and 3 will be automatically attenuated by
12 dB in case of microphone announcements.
If the button is not pressed, the talkover function
is switched off.
