• Before packing or storing the
locomotive:
1. Raise the pantographs.
2. Manually press the pantographs
down and clip into place (safegu-
ard for transport).
• The pantographs cannot be moved
until approx. 5 seconds after each
time the system is switched on. After
the pantographs have been moved, at
least 3 seconds should be allowed to
elapse before the system is switched
off.
• Function on: Pantograph goes up.
Function off: Pantograph comes down.
• f1: Pantograph above driver's cab 1 (front).
f2: Pantograph above driver's cab 2 (rear).
• When removing the housing, it is advisable to disen-
gage the pantographs.
• If the pantographs do not automatically spring into the
upper position after being disengaged, then the loco-
motive housing should be disconnected and raised until
the pantographs automatically move into the upper po-
sition. Under no circumstances should the pantographs
be pulled upwards!
• The electronic circuit only reacts to a change in
function. Turning the function on and off rapidly will be
ignored by the electronic circuit.
• The pantographs should be raised and lowered only
when the locomotive is stopped.

• Do not change the movement of the pantographs until
the end position for them has been reached.
• The end positions for the pantographs are assimilated
by the electronic circuit itself. After interruptions in
operations, the electronic circuit must partially relearn
these positions. This readjustment can be recognised
by the change in the time required for the downward
movement.
• When turning the layout on, the indicator for the func-
tions on the locomotive controller may not reflect the
actual situation, if there are interruptions in the current
to the layout or in similar operating circumstances. After
the function button has been pressed, the display and
state coincide once again.
• Interruption in current when the pantographs are being
raised or lowered: The pantograph will not move even
after turning the power back on. Only after the function
button has been pressed once more does the panto-
graph move again.
• The pantographs cannot be raised or lowered in signal
blocks or in other areas of track where the power is
turned off.
• The two pantographs cannot be raised and lowered at
the same time.
• Under no circumstances should the entire pantograph
drive be greased or oiled! Do not touch the drive
wheels!
• Due to the complexity of the assembly of the panto-
graphs and their mechanism, they can only be repaired
by an authorized Trix repair station or by the Trix Service
