- At open taps, check flow rate of m
compare with table 4.2.2 .
- If the flow rate is below the minimum indicated in table 4.2.2, pressure increasing
equipment must be superposed (see diagram 4.2.3).
- After completion of cleaning, close water supply and remove cleaning compressor and
respective fittings (combi-flush fittings remain in the system).
- Fit 190 mm sleeve socket in place of cleaning compressor.
- If no combi-flush fittings are used, refit normal plugs and check system for leaks.
- Issue certificate for flushing to DIN and have it countersigned by customer or planner.

Mode of operation

The ROPULS cleaning compressor is an electronic multifunctional appliance for flushing and
sanitizing. It may also be used as compressor.
The process of flushing/sanitizing is by means of a water-air-mixture of a particular ratio.
By connecting a dosage pump, an officially approved cleaning agent or disinfectant may be
added to the pipe system. Its dosage quantity is controlled by the integrated impulse water
meter. This type of flushing is only used for sanitizing.
For best results in case of very stubborn soiling, more air can be applied through a continuous
air blast.
The appliance may also be used as mobile compressor.

Installation and Operation

4.1

General notes

The equipment must be set up directly behind an approved
micro-filter before the distribution aggregate or any other
place providing a possible connection to the piping and
sewage systems.
Cold and hot water pipes to be flushed separately.
1. A DIN-DVGW approved micro-filter must be fitted in
front of the cleaning compressor. Attention: Mind the
flow direction of the cleaning compressor!
2. The water heater and/or secondary water treatment equipment is to be "shorted.
